Dr. Hann is an Osteopathic physician who started her medical career as a traditional Geriatric medicine
specialist serving the older adults in various settings. When she observed that her patients needed home
visits, she pioneered a home based medical service. Then she returned to academia for further one year
postgraduate Fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Care and later developed patented
computerized sensor pad for prevention of pressure ulcers and medical Apps to improve patient safety.
However, in recent years, she noticed that the patients in the United States were not getting better;
they were sicker and needed more invasive procedures, surgeries, many more drugs accompanied by
escalating acuity for hospital admissions. Therefore, she pivoted away from traditional medical care
model and studied Life Style Medicine, which emphasizes prevention or reversal of diseases. Dr Hann
embraces whole patient care focused on evidence-based healthy nutrition, stress reduction, sleep
hygiene, exercise and restoration of healthy gut microbes as the corner stone of body’s healing. 

Dr. Hann is delighted to be a part of the Carlsbad Center for Integrative Medicine team and looks forward to helping
every person achieve maximum, high quality of life. Dr. Hann is Board Certified in Family Medicine,
Geriatric Medicine and Board Eligible in Life Style Medicine.
